Roasted Artichoke and Spinach Pizza

During the summer months, we are traveling, doing activities with the children, planning birthday parties and so on that you barely have time to cook a nice home cooked meal. So you are too tired and want something quick and easy for the family to eat without sweating over a hot stove. Believe me, I have been there and really, I don't want to do it if I have another option to make it easy on me.

Now, I am a big fan of California Pizza Kitchen, whether frozen or at their restaurant, they always have wonderful Pizza. And now, California Pizza Kitchen has added six brand new menu items. All of these will be available at their CPK restaurant. How great is that.

Take a peek at the six new tempting dishes CPK offers: 

Four Seasons Pizza  Imported Italian tomatoes, oven-roasted artichoke hearts, salami, fresh mushrooms, mild onions, Mozzarella and freshMozzarella cheeses and topped with fresh herbs and  Parmesan cheese.

Roasted Artichoke and Spinach Pizza  Inspired by CPK’s popular Spinach Artichoke Dip, this pizza is a blend of oven-roasted artichoke hearts, sautéed spinach and garlic, Fontina, Mozzarella     and Parmesan cheeses and a spinach artichoke sauce.

Baby Clam Linguini  Linguini fini and baby clams with garlic, fresh Italian parsley, Parmesan cheese, white wine and red pepper flakes tossed in either a light lemon cream sauce or imported Italian tomatoes and fresh basil.

Italian Deli  Spicy Capicola ham, salami and pepperoni topped with Mozzarella and Fontina cheeses, basil and shredded lettuce tossed in a herb-mustard Parmesan vinaigrette. 

Turkey Stack  Oven-roasted turkey breast, sliced fresh Roma tomatoes, mayonnaise, shredded lettuce and Grey Poupon Dijon honey mustard.

Butter Cake  Oven baked buttery cake served with fresh whipped cream.

We went and tried their Roasted Artichoke and Spinach Pizza from their new menu and believe me it was so delicious. My little one ate it and kept wanting more. LOL. She sure loves Pizza! To make the day even more exciting, we also tried their delicious Butter Cake for dessert. It truly had this buttery taste in your mouth. Sophia loved sticking her fingers in the whipped cream and started to eat all of it off the plate. I had to tell her, please save some for mama. Too funny! If you are planning a birthday party or a special event, see their catering section and enjoy a day without getting your hands dirty. We will definitely go again and try more of their other items off their new menu. Can't wait until next time.

Ok, I could not resist, so I am telling all my readers and of course my Houston readers as well, about the upcoming Yo Gabba Gabba Live Tour! (There’s a Party in My City).  I was so excited when I heard that they are coming to Houston, because my daughter is a big fan of Yo Gabba Gabba. We are officially attending the live show on Saturday December 10th at 6 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Misikko 1" Corioliss Classic Pro Flat Iron giveaway-CLOSED

Since I was little I always had long thick hair and now it seems like it feels thicker then ever. I have used various flat irons to straighten my hair, but none of them seem to do the job right, due to my very thick hair.  So, when I was given the opportunity to review the Misikko 1"Corioliss Classic Professional Flat Iron, I really wanted to     put it to the Show Me Mama test. 

I received a beautifully packaged box filled with a black Misikko 1"Corioliss Classic Professional Flat Iron, hand sanitizer, satin   pouch with 3 Misikko filers, heat proof pouch, and a small bottle of Hana Shine Shield, accessorized with lovely flowers and mini white candles.  I must say that I was very impressed.

Now it was time to use the flat iron and see what it can do. The Corioliss Classic Pro is a Ceramic 1″ flat iron that has adjustable heat from 140° - 410°F. It has a quick and easy on/off switch located above the heat setting. The flat iron is small, easy to use, light and sleek. I read the instructions very careful, because I really wanted to make sure that it would work correctly on my thick hair. I took a little bit of the Hana Shine Shield and placed it in my hands and applied it throughly to my hair.  I reached for the flat iron and started to straigthen my hear by sections. Oh my, I was really shocked!  My hair started to really feel light and I immediately saw the difference in my hair, it was indeed super straight which I totally love. You can also do quite a bit of designs with your hair from curling, straightening, twisting, flipping and so much more.                                                                                                                                                             

Take a look at the BEFORE image of my thick hair and now the AFTER image of my hair.  I am totally loving this flat iron.  Don't you agree?
