Sesame Street Bubble Bath and Fizzy Tub Colors Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

As many parents know bath time  can be very challenging at times.  In our house it is sure is hectic, to get the little one to take a bath.  We always have to chase her around the house before she goes and takes a bath.  The only way she would take a bath, is if there is a big bottle of bubble bath available for her to use.  Oh no, not a small bottle, it has to be large. Whether it is shampoo, bubble bath or conditioner be prepared that by the end of the week it will all be gone.

So, when I was given the opportunity to review the Sesame Street Bath Products from The Village Company, I accepted the offer graciously. Sophia loves Sesame Street, especially Elmo, so I was thrilled for her to review these products. I received the new and improved Wet Wild Watermelon Bubble Bath and Fizzy Tub Colors. The minute she saw Elmo image on both bottles, she was fascinated by it and I told her this is for you to take a bath with. Well, guess what she wanted to do? Take a bath immediately!  I said we have to wait until later. When it was time for her to take a bath I was so happy that we did not have to chase her for at least 15 minutes around the house. I never thought it would be so easy for her to get ready to take a bath. Now, it was time to show her the Fizzy Tub Color tablets. Fizzy Tub Colors are bath tablets that come in the 3 primary colors, red, yellow and blue. Sophia took 2 blue color tablets and dropped them in the bath and the entire bath water started to turn in a very colorful blue. The look on her face was full of amazement. She was asking for more tablets, and yes, she even started her own individual science project by mixing each color tablet in cups and bowls full of water. She loves how the water fizzed and turned into beautiful colors, like green, purple and orange.

While the water was still flowing, we poured the Wet Wild Watermelon Bubble Bath in the tub.  The entire bath was full of bubbles, Sophia was ecstatic. She went right in the tub an had herself a long playful and colorful bath filed with lots of bubbles. I had to beg her to get out of the tub. I was worried for a second, thinking that her entire body would be stained blue with the color, but it wasn't the case at all. She looked fresh and clean to me. I also thought that my bath tub would be stained with the color and it wasn't either. I drained the top and rinsed it with water and all the color washed away easily. This was truly a playful bath time for Sophia and soon after, she was telling us "We will take a bath again with bubbles and color tablets tomorrow." Yes, we soon ran out of the bubble bath, so we went and picked some up at the store.
Here is a little bit more about the New and improved "Wet Wild Watermelon Bubble Bath has been updated to include a more mild, hypo-allergic formula, Dermatologist Tested and Pediatrician Approved. This 24 oz size bubble bath bottle has more improved graphics to emphasize Elmo. It  makes lots of long lasting bubbles and has natural ingredients, like wheat protein, which provide gentle cleansing and moisture for soft skin".
Fizzy Tub Colors has 100 tables and the formula is mild, child-friendly and contains Bitterguard™ to discourage consumption. The water coloring tablets come in several colors and your child can mix the colors up to create new and exciting colors.  Now, with all those fun bath products, your little one will truly enjoy their bath time.

Little Pim Review

I was excited to be given the opportunity to review Little Pim. "Little Pim is an award-winning foreign language immersion DVD series for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. They offer three theme-based DVDs that use our unique Entertainment Immersion Method™, which combines animation and real kids, teaching simple words and phrases for everyday activities". Their are 10 different languages to choose from such as Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Hebrew, English (ESL), German, Arabic and Russian.
We received the first DVD in the series called Eating and Drinking. Little Pim and friends is showing little audiences how to make and eat food while discovering new tastes. The minute I received the DVD, I placed it in the DVD player and played it for Sophia. She was totally intrigued by the Panda Bear, Little Pim. I love the fact how they bring both animation and human interaction in the program and the music is cute, not annoying at all.  Little Pim comes in 7 episodes per DVD and each episodes lasts for 5 minutes. Your little one will learn more than 60 words and phrases about eating and drinking. The DVD is very well made and my little one gets so excited seeing Little Pim appear on the screen and is repeating all the words that are being said in the program. At dinner time, I can hear Sophia repeating some of the phrases Little Pim was saying or she says she would like to eat something she saw on the program. She keeps telling me, "Play it again, mama."
All I can say is that I am quite impressed with the DVD, and I know that if your a parent and want to teach your child English or introduce another language in household, I highly recommend this program.  Lilttle Pim did not disappoint and it won't disappoint you either. All I hope for is that they create a Dutch program so I can teach my little one.  I know she would definitely enjoy it.
Now, hurry and visit Little Pim and pick up a DVD and believe me, you'l love it as much as we do.
Sincerely,

Dazzling Craft Stick Jewelry Boxes!

Are you ready for some more fun craft projects?  It's been too long that I have worked on a fun craft project with my little one, so I decided to make some craft stick jewelry boxes. My little one loves jewelry. I am always catching her in my jewelry. She is always trying on all my necklaces, bracelets and rings, usually all at onetime. So I thought what can be better then making your own handmade jewelry box.    Something that she will treasure and adore and it will be definitely be a keepsake.

Supplies:
Craft Sticks
Craft Glue
Paint
Paint Brushes
Apron
Sparkling Gems/Jewels
Newspaper/cloth
Wax-Paper
Gather all your supplies together, so you can easily reach for them. Place the apron on your little ones, so they won't mess up their beautiful attire.  We first started off with the lid and the base of the jewelry box. Count out 12 craft sticks and place them side by side next to one another on your work table. Glue one craft stick across the top and glue the other stick across the bottom (like you are making a fence). This will hold the sticks securely in place. Make sure your repeat this process twice, since you will use one for the lid and the other one for the base. If you're working with little ones, make sure you show them how to do it first. I showed Sophia how to do it first and then she got the hang of it and was off working on her lid and base.
Second, place 2 craft sticks across from one another (one will be on the left and the other the right side) lay another set of 2 craft sticks across from the first 2 in the opposite direction.  Reach for your craft glue and place a tiny bit of glue at the tip of the sticks where they touch at the corners.  This will create a beautiful square. Keep alternating and repeating this process until you reach a desire height for your jewelry box. Sophia was so into placing the glue on the ends craft sticks, that I did not even realize how high she made her jewelry box.
Once all of your jewelry boxes are finished, place them aside to dry completely. Our jewelry boxes were completely dry and we were ready to decorate them. Without any hesitation, the little one reached for her paint brushes and started to paint her jewelry box.  Now, it was time to set it aside once more to dry off.
We all wanted to make our jewelry boxes to look absolutely fabulous, so we gathered some sparkling gemstones and glued away. Place them on top of your lid and create your own design. You can use gemstones, glitter, stickers or anything else you may think would look good. Have fun with it and keep adding more gemstones.  Sophia really liked this part of the process. It made her happy, which of course made me happy.

Once, the jewelry boxes were decorated with all these luxury gemstones and was dried off, it was time to place a photo in one of them.  I love how you can personalize your own jewelry box. Well, here you  have it. We made several Dazzling Craft Stick Jewelry boxes and now it is your turn to make some of your own. These are perfect to give as a gift or any other special occasion. Have fun, enjoy and remember to come back again for more exciting craft projects.
