Decorative Handmade Summer Stars!

So, it is time for me to show you all how to make these wonderful Decorative Handmade Summer Stars.  Since, my little one loves stars and enjoys making crafts, I could not let her wait for another day to start our project. Now lets begin this fun and unique craft activity.
Supplies:
Construction Paper (any color you desire)
Scissors
Glitter (any color you want)
Hole Punch
Yarn or thread
Tape

Please, gather your construction paper together. Reach and pick one sheet of construction paper and fold it diagonal to the end of one corner. Do the same with the other side as well. Cut the section at the top out, where your end up with a nice beautiful square sheet.
The square sheet of construction paper will have two folded lines inside.  Fold the the square sheet in half horizontally and fold again at the opposite side. Now, you will see a total of 4 lines in the center of the square sheet of construction paper.
Get your scissors and cut in half about an inch off the center line of the square sheet. Now, you will take each side that is cut, fold them towards the center of the line.
Once all the sections are folded, reach for your glue and glue each side section. Hold on to the other side section that does not have glue and pull it towards the glue side and hold on tight.
Repeat the process until they are all glued then you will have a four point star. Set a side to dry. You can see that the little one had fun with the star and wanted to put her babies in to play hide and seek.  LOL.
Now that you have seen how to make the first half of the stars, go ahead and continue to fold and make more stars.  Note: to make one complete star, you need 2 (square sheets to fold) so if you decide you want to make 6 stars, you have to fold 12 square sheets. (Yep, we were doing a lot of folding, but that is all fun, especially when your see your little one's happy face.  Mix and match the colors or you can have one full red color star, or have yellow half star with a green half star. Whatever you do have fun with your project.
Now that you folded all your half stars, reach for your glue and glue the center of each half star. Place, them on top of one another and hold tight, not too tight though, you don't want to squash it. Once the two half stars are attached, set aside to dry. If you want some extra sparkle on your stars, place a little glue on your stars and sprinkle some colorful glitter on the stars. Voila, now you have created your beautiful Decorative Summer Stars.
You can place these stars anywhere your little one wants. Sophia wanted her stars in her room, so I ended up hanging them above her doll house, where she can stare at them all day long. Now that the summer is here, you have another wonderful craft project for your little ones. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Evolve Water Lily Rain Showerhead Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

I can't wait to tell you all about this wonderful Water Lily Rain Showerhead I received from Evolve.  Since I am all for eco-friendly products I was doubly excited. I am a type of person that loves to take frequent showers. I will take them at least 2 or 3 times a day. It really helps me relax and it feels like your in the spa. I have the tendency to turn on the shower, and of course do some other chore while the water gets warm. I know that I am wasting a lot of water by letting it run for so long. My husband always gets on my case to get in the shower, NOW, but I am off finishing some chore or tending to my little one.

When I was given the opportunity to review The Water Lily Rain Showerhead from Evolve, I immediately accepted the offer.  It was really easy to install and the directions were quick to follow, nothing too confusing. I was really trilled to use it and ran the shower like I always do and did a few chores. The amazing thing though is with Evolve's Showerstart Technology it automatically turns off the showerhead and when the water reaches 95 degrees it begins to trickle so you know your shower is hot and ready. Then you pull the cord and voila, a nice full shower. I love it because it saves you a lot of hot water from just flowing down the drain.  The Evolve Rain Showerhead was the perfect size to gradually wash away all the shampoo from my hair and has three spray patterns. It had a really relaxing feeling and I really did not want to get out of the shower, but I had to get out.  You know the saying, when your fingers start to wrinkle that means you have been in the water a little too long. LOL.
Here is a little bit more about the Evolve Water Lily Showerhead and how it works: "Shave, brush teeth, use washroom, make he bed, grab the phone, start coffee... while waiting for your shower to get warm without wasting hot water. The Evolve showerhead cuts flow to a trickle once water is warm so it’s not running down the drain while you’re away." It notifies you when your shower is ready: "After cold water exits the showerhead the warm water starts to trickle. That “drip, drip” lets you know your shower’s warm and waiting. Restart normal flow by pulling cord or flipping the switch.  What I really love about this, is that it saves you money on your water bill: "Save up to $75 in utility bills and 2700 gallons of water per year . *family of three showering daily and saving one minute of hot water per shower (water flow of 2.5 gpm and $0.03/gallon hot water cost. Can you believe that? You can't beat this at all.

Here are some of the key features of the Evolve Water Lily Rain Showerhead:

Noodle Head review and giveaways-CLOSED

If you are a follower of my blog and read my blog posts, you already know how much we love to paint. In my household one of the first activities that we do all the time, would be painting. Yes, that is what the little one loves and I don't mind at all. She will paint in the morning and in the evening and I love that she gets to explore her creativity.
I received the Silk Halter kit from Noodle Head to review and I must say Sophia had a blast doing this project. The package was well organized and the directions were easy to follow. We received the flower print design, which was so great for Sophia to paint.   Overall, I totally love the kit and it would be a great activity for any little girl to do. Even the adults would love it, I wish they had it in an adult size too!
Here is a little bit more about the Sassy Silk Halter™ Silk Painting Kit:  "This beautiful 100% silk, one-size-fits-all halter comes in 3 delightful designs that little girls love -- butterfly, dragonfly, and flower. Noodle Head pre-dyes the background in vibrant, trendy colors, and pre-prints designs in so that kids can get right to the fun of painting  and designing with beautiful, premium dyes. Once dry, the halter can be worn and machine-washed for fashionable summer fun".  Even though it is intended for ages 5 and up, my almost 4 year old still enjoyed it. What a great way to show off your project by wearing it out with friends.
Now if your child is into painting just like mine, then you have to take a peek at the Young Picasso™ Canvas Painting Kit. My little one loves to paint anything and everything and I tried my best to find ways to show off her artistic creations by painting as much as possible. Here is a little bit more about the Young Picasso Canvas Painting Kit : it includes a large stretched canvas, and two small canvas boards that make wonderful framed gifts. We've included superior acrylic paints and brushes, a plastic pallet for mixing colors, and a booklet introducing different art styles from famous artists, all in a box with plastic carrying handle.  I know your little ones will love these fun projects.

There will be 2 WINNERS! Yes, Noodle Head will give one winner the Silk Halter Painting Kit and another winner  The Young Picasso Art Kit. How about that!
