Just another day to bake a cake!

Well, don't you have those days, where you just feel like baking something. This particular day, not any special day or anything, I felt like baking a cake with the little one. Oh, you should have seen the look on Sophia's face when I mentioned it was time for a cake bake. She was very excited and was ready to bake the cake.

We started out getting all of our supplies:
Mixer
Chocolate Cake Mix (Love it, don't get me wrong, I make my own cake from scratch too, LOL)
Eggs
Apple sauce (substitution for the vegetable oil)
Water
Strawberries
Red Sprinkles (she loves this a lot)
Now, we gather all of our supplies together and start to pour everything in a large bowl. With the help of my wonderful assistant, everything went pretty smoothly. She started to help me mix the batter, it looked absolutely yummy.  Then, into my baking pan I poured all the smooth chocolate batter. I placed the pan in a pre-heated oven of 350 degrees. Now, we just have to wait for it to bake.
While it was baking Sophia had some fun licking the spatula and her face was full of chocolate. I told her she looks like she has chocolate lipstick on. Once, she was done, we started to clean up the mess we made. When everything was finally clean, we were ready to take a peek at the cake and yes, it was baking pretty well. Every 2 minutes, I hear a voice calling me "Mama, the cake is getting bigger". She was literally sitting in front of the oven, staring at the cake. I was just laughing how funny that was.
Finally, the cake was done. We placed it on the stove to cool down. Then it was time to place the frosting on the cake. Sophia's favorite part. She was really a professional at it. Can't you tell? LOL. We wanted to add something extra to the cake. Sophia wanted her favorite red sprinkles, so that was added on top of the cake. To top it off we placed some fresh delicious strawberries on the cake and in the center. Voila! What do you think? Does that look yummy?  Now it was time for a slice for us to eat.  mmmmh, delicious :).   Why don't you stop what your doing and go and bake a cake or something delicious!   Happy baking and come back for more fun recipes.
Sincerely,

Evenflo’s Ultimate Savvy Parent’s Car Kit -CLOSED

Are you planning a last minute road trip with your family? Well, then read what I am about to tell you.  Evenflo is aiding  parents like you and me to travel safer this summer or any other time with their spanking new Evenflo Momenttum 65 XLX Convertiable Carseat.  It offers parents superior e3 Side Impact™ protection to keep their child safe.

We always find ways to get out of town, even if we just travel a short distance to visit friends and family. You never know where we might end up, that is what makes road trips so exciting. Evenflo was generous enough to send us their wonderful Savvy Parent's Car Kit for review and for our next travel adventure. The kit was full of wonderful supplies to help parents and children while traveling in a car. How fantastic is that? Oh my, the minute I opened the package, Sophia reached for the soft fluffy book (she loves books) and of course the yummy animal crackers were gone with in a second LOL.  My personal and I bet any parents favorite would definitely be the car dust buster. This handy little vacuum cleaner really worked wonders on those graham crackers between the seats.  Don't forget about the $25.00 gas card which was a nice little gift to save on some gas.  Love it all.

Evenflo's Ultimate Savy Parent's Car Kit includes : $100 value)
$25 Gas Gift Card, a little treat for mom and dad
Moist Wipes, for quick car clean up
Baby Mirror, to check out rear-facing baby while driving
Soft Book, to secure safety of passengers when thrown during tantrum
Kid/Parent Friendly CD, to inspire a family sign along
Car Dust buster, for hunting down cheerios between seats
Window Shade, to keep the hot summer sun out
Animal Crackers and a Snack Trap, to carve cravings
Car organizer, to keep it all arranged neatly!

Just recently Evenflo administered the Evenflo “Savvy Parents Survey”, a survey of 1,000 parents across the country and children under five years old. View some of the stats Evenflo came up with.
  • More time on the road often puts safety concerns into high gear. And it can trigger tears of frustration – in kids AND parents.
  • The biggest worry parents have when taking car trips is that their young child will be harmed in a collision (76%).
  • Integral to a safe ride is proper car-seat installation, but a full 65% of mothers and 72% of fathers encounter challenges when installing car seats.
  • And – oh baby! – nearly half (49%) admit that installing the car seat caused them to sweat more than actually making the baby did!

Make sure you visit their micro website for witty webisodes, support, advice and entertainment. They have some really cute videos.

Agoo Apparel Review and Giveaway-CLOSED!

-
As we all know kids are very active in whatever they are doing and I know because I have a little one who is quite active. You try your best to find clothes that are stylish, soft and comfortable; this way they can move around and still feel at ease in their clothes. I recently was introduced to a company called Agoo, which specializes in clothes for your active little bundle of joys!
Agoo apparel is made of 4-way stretch fabrics that will definitely move around with your kids. The wick-away fibers found in their clothes help keep the moisture away from your little ones delicate skin.  The clothes feature Sun Smart 50+UV protection that allows your bundles of joy to play outdoors safely. They are stain resistant, which makes removing stains a little easier on mommy. Love that a lot.
As I said before my little Sophia is quite active and is on the go quite a bit. So when Agoo offered me to review their lovely active wear, I accepted. I received the Rose Tam Tam Tank Top with the matching skirt. The minute she put it on, she started to rub on it and you could tell she felt comfortable in the outfit.  I wish I had one for myself LOL. I love clothes and I always tend to look at all the details in my garments. Agoo clothes are very well made and neatly stitched. Nicely done!

Their unique selection of clothing ranges from infants through 8 years of age and comes in various colors and styles. They also have boys apparel as well, which is just as trendy as the girls. I love their style of clothing. They are hip, urban, sporty, trendy and definitely fashionable. Agoo has some eco-friendly accessories, leggings (which are totally cool) and lots more. By the way have fun with their clothes by mixing them up, it is all about having fun and being stylish at the same time.

WIN: Agoo apparel is offering one of Show Me Mama readers a $50.00 Gift Certificate. Absolutely wonderful!
