Joy of Soap Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

I personally am very fond of beautiful soap and I doubly love them when they are handmade and scented. They are tiny bits of luxury every woman and man should have. I was given the opportunity to review several bars of The Joy of Soap and was quite excited to see what the soaps were all about. "The Joy of Soap is natural soap that is hand crafted, hand cut and hand wrapped in small batches, using certified organic oils, therapeutic grade essential oils and ingredients that are gentle on your skin". I was delighted when I received three bars of soap to review. I love the packaging of their bars of soap. The soap comes in a 100% muslin bag, which are reusable. Their shipping materials are made from recycled and recyclable materials. I truly like when I see a company that is Eco-Friendly and I am also very impressed with their Green Practices page.

Peppermint Passion:  Even though I love all the other scents, I do have to admit that the Pepermint Passion (the "hot" pairing of peppermint and spearmint) was one of my favorites. When I washed my hands with it, I could feel the little prickles on my fingers, which made them feel relaxed and totally at ease.

Feeling Frisky : "classic scent, this clever mixture of tangerine, grapefruit and lime with calendula flower petals evokes the sensation of an invigorating spa treatment". The minute I opened the bag, I could smell the scent immediately. The scent was soft and refreshing.  It made my skin feel soft and smooth.

Manly Man Soap:  Yep, made especially for  a man, but still soft and gentle for women. Ok, my husband tried this soap and he loves it and I did tested it too. Who said because it is meant for a man that I can't try it.  "Light scents of sweet orange bring cheer and happiness to the mind. It is then mixed with the astringent benefits of tea tree oil and a touch of pumice to smooth out those (manly) rough edges".  Just perfect.

Here is a little bit more about The Joy of Soap: "All of our moisturizing spa soaps begin with a base of organic olive, coconut, and palm oils plus castor oil mixed with therapeutic grade essential oils and exfoliants. Our soaps are great for all skin types, and they are hand cut so the exact weight of each bar may vary slightly". After trying all three bars of soap, I must say that I truly enjoyed them all. I would definitely recommend them for anyone to give as a gift or if you just want to pamper yourself once in a while.

Barefoot Books Review and Giveaway-CLOSED!

Prior to having my little one, I used to read to her each night wile she was still in my tummy.  I knew from that start that she enjoyed reading, because there was not a lot of kicking going on when I did read. It was such a nice feeling know that she loved it when I read her books. I made this promise that I would always read to her each and everyday for at least 20 minutes. When looking for books, I like to look for at least one book that I know she would love, which will make the story time even better knowing she is paying attention to it. Plus, when she likes a book I have to read it over and over and over again.

When browsing the internet, I stumbled upon this amazing website called Barefoot Books and as curious as I am, I started to browse their site. I was so excited and thrilled of the different kinds of wonderful books they are offering for children of all ages. The website itself is easy to browse through, I like the fact that you quickly can search books for your child by age range or subject. They sent me three wonderful hand-picked selections of Barefoot books.

The first one is Shrinking Sam by Miriam Latimer. As much as Sophia loves all three books, I must say that this one was Sophia's favorite. It is about a little boy called Sam, that gets smaller each time he is being ignored or not listened to. So Sam is going on several adventures along with his friend, as ordinary objects get bigger and bigger. This book kind of reminded me when I was little and no one listened to me. Sophia loved Shrinking Sam because she likes everything that is small, so she kept looking at the pictures. The colorful illustrations are remarkable and memorizing for any child even me. It is pleasant to look and it encourages you to read immediately just knowing what is being told in the book.

The second book is Prince's Bedtime By Joanne Oppenheim. It is about a little prince who can't get to sleep. So, the whole kingdom decides to help him get to bed. Until a mysterious woman mesmerizes him to sleep with an enchanted story.

The last book is The Barefoot Book Princesses retold by Caitlin Matthews. It is seven short stories about princesses around the world and the challenges and triumphs they face.

Monkey Monkey Music CD: What Are The Odds Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

Alright! It's that time again for my next music review and here we go. I was given the opportunity to review Monkey Monkey Music CD by Meredith LeVande and yep, I accepted. My family loves music and I want to help bring music to everybody. I grew up in a family that loved to play music on a daily basis, starting with my Dad. Even though he was a school principal, as a hobby he played the guitar in a band, so you can understand how much music we were listening to on a daily basis. That is why I love to introduce new and exciting children's music to anyone that enjoys it.

The minute I received What Are The Odds CD, I played it for the little one and yep, it is upbeat, the lyrics are easy to remember and sing-a-long with too. It is a collection of 16 beautiful songs, all equally amazing in there own special way. Meredith LeVande is a Songwriter/Singer with her upbeat voice she turns every song around and makes my little one clap her hands every time she hears the first song "Hello".  She created a mixture of baby and pop band songs and made it into a lovely combination where children and adults can sing-a-long and dance too. Meredith’s music is not only child-friendly, it’s truly child appropriate, developed with the healthy growth of the young child in mind.
The Monkey Monkey Music CD: What Are The Odds? Can be played at birthdays, at home, playgroups, in your car or any place you desire.  It is truly a joy to listen too and believe me I am planning on taking it to my next playgroup meet up and I know all the mommies and children will have a blast with it.  We will all jump, wiggle, shake, and clap our hands to it.

Here is the a list of the 16 beautiful songs:
  1. Hello (New)
  2. What Are the Odds?
  3. Shake It Loud
  4. This Way, That Way
  5. In the Garden
  6. Wheels
  7. Air Guitar
  8. Frogs Eat Butterflies
  9. Circle
  10. Turn Your Body Around
  11. Bubbles
  12. Who's a Knockin'?
  13. Silly Animal Friends
  14. Guess What I Am
  15. Willow Tree in the Wind
  16. Goodbye (New)
